Overview:

CloudXcel is seeking a talented and highly motivated Cloud Data Engineer with expertise in Python to join our team. In this role, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and optimize cloud-based data pipelines and infrastructure. The ideal candidate is passionate about data engineering, proficient in Python, and eager to solve complex challenges in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. 

Key Responsibilities:

– Design, develop, and maintain scalable cloud-based data pipelines to collect, process, and analyze large datasets.
– Build and optimize ETL workflows to ensure efficient data integration and processing.
– Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and engineers to support data modeling, analytics, and reporting needs.
– Leverage Python to implement robust data solutions, including automation and optimization tasks.
– Develop and maintain cloud data infrastructure using platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
– Ensure data quality, security, and compliance with industry best practices and standards.
– Monitor and troubleshoot data pipelines to ensure reliability and performance.
– Stay updated on the latest advancements in cloud data engineering and recommend new tools or technologies as needed.

Requirements:

– Strong proficiency in Python for data engineering tasks.
– Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, or GCP), including services like S3, Lambda, BigQuery, or Databricks.
– Solid understanding of ETL processes, data modeling, and data warehousing.
– Familiarity with SQL and relational databases.
– Knowledge of big data technologies, such as Spark, Hadoop, or Kafka, is a plus.
– Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a collaborative team environment.
– Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
– Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

– Hands-on experience with IaC (Infrastructure as Code) tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
– Familiarity with API integration and RESTful services.
– Knowledge of containerization and orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes.
– Experience in CI/CD pipelines for data engineering workflows.
– Understanding of data security principles and compliance standards (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA).
